Random Response Analysis webinar

It is not always possible to determine the exact loading that a structure will be subjected to. A car reacting to road imperfections or a building subjected to an earthquake are good examples. In cases such as these, we do not know exactly what the transient loading will look like however, we can characterize it in a statistical sense.

In this month’s webinar we will investigate how the random response procedure in Abaqus can be used to analyze the response of structures subjected to these types of “random” vibrations. We will also cover the theory behind random response including the basics of modal dynamics and PSD inputs, as well as looking at the statistical outputs that can be generated.
